Official Visit
The Belgian Prime Minister, Alexander De Croo, is getting ready to visit Morocco as part of an official visit. He will be accompanied by a delegation of several ministers, including the Minister of Justice, Paul Van Tigchelt, the Minister of the Interior, Annelies Verlinden, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hadja Lahbib, and the Secretary of State, Nicole de Moor. They are expected to arrive in the evening in the Kingdom, and the visit is set to last for two days.
Agenda
During their visit, the Belgian delegation will discuss topics related to migration and judicial cooperation with Moroccan authorities. These are important issues for the Belgian government, as they are seeking Morocco’s support in repatriating moroccan citizens who have been expelled from the country.
Business Ties
The visit is not just about politics. Around thirty Belgian entrepreneurs will also accompany the Prime Minister to Morocco to participate in a conference in Casablanca on Tuesday. The goal is to strengthen commercial ties between Brussels and Rabat. Last year, Belgium exported goods worth 1.3 billion euros to Morocco, a slight decrease from the previous year.
