Macron Concludes State Visit to Morocco at King Mohammed VI’s Invitation

French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron departed from Morocco on Wednesday afternoon, concluding a state visit to the Kingdom at the invitation of King Mohammed VI.

The French President was bid farewell at the Rabat-Salé airport by Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, where Macron inspected a detachment of the Royal Air Forces that rendered military honors.

Members of the honor committee paid their respects to the French President, including the Minister of National Territory Planning, Urban Development, Housing and City Policy, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, and the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Paris, Samira Sitail.

The French President was also greeted by the Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region and Governor of Rabat prefecture, Mohamed Yacoubi, the President of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Regional Council, Rachid El Abdi, and the Governor of Salé prefecture, Omar Touimi, along with elected officials, members of the French Embassy in Rabat, and other civil and military personalities.
