Lebanese media sources reported on Saturday that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Lebanese Hezbollah, was martyred in an Israeli airstrike targeting the southern suburbs of the capital, Beirut.
In the first international reaction to the incident, Morocco’s Justice and Development Party issued a statement mourning Nasrallah, describing the operation as “treacherous” and “criminal”. The party affirmed in its statement that this act “confirms the criminal, bloody, and colonial nature of the Israeli entity”.
In its statement, the Moroccan party called on the Arab and Islamic nation to “close ranks, unite, and renounce division and disagreement to confront this enemy”.
The statement indicated that this act “will only increase the resistance and its popular base in steadfastness and further sacrifice and jihad on the path to liberating Palestine, Noble Jerusalem, and the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque”.
This development comes amid escalating tensions in the region, raising fears of potential regional repercussions from this event.
