The Moroccan Anti-Doping Agency is organizing a national caravan under the slogan “Sport Without Doping” in the Fez-Meknes region from September 24 to 26, 2024. The caravan will tour three major cities in the region: Meknes, Taza, and Ifrane, aiming to raise awareness about the dangers of doping in sports.
According to the announced program, the caravan’s activities will begin on Tuesday, September 24, in Meknes, with a general session at the meeting hall of the Prefecture annex – Agdal. The session will include speeches by the Governor and Ms. Fatima Abu Ali, President of the Moroccan Anti-Doping Agency, as well as an overview of the Agency’s activities and a presentation of the caravan.
The second day, Wednesday, September 25, will see the caravan move to Taza, where similar activities will be held at the Prefecture headquarters. The closing day, Thursday, September 26, will be in Ifrane.
This caravan is distinguished by the participation of elite experts and specialists in the field of anti-doping and sports medicine, including:
- Dr. Fatima Abu Ali, President of the Moroccan Anti-Doping Agency
- Professor Moulay Ahmed Belimam, Secretary General of the Agency
- Dr. Abderrahim Taleb, specialist in chemical sciences and toxicology
- Professor Abdellatif Abbad, expert in sports management
- Professor Hamid El Bouihiaoui, President of the Moroccan Sports Journalists Association
- Professor Zakaria Benomar Fares, expert in mental and sports coaching
The seminars accompanying the caravan will address several important topics, including the role of physical and mental preparation in combating doping, the perspective of sports media, and the role of sports medicine in this field.
This initiative aims to promote awareness of the importance of clean sports and the dangers of using performance-enhancing drugs through workshops and educational games targeted at participants in each city.
The caravan represents a significant step in Morocco’s efforts to combat doping in sports and promote fair play and athlete health across the region.
