In an exclusive statement to Fes News, a hookah cafe owner in the Saïss region affirmed that the recent raids conducted by Atlas authorities in Fez on hookah cafes are merely a show of force aimed at pressuring for dubious purposes. He added that hookah itself is legal and that his cafe adheres to all the required conditions for serving it.
He pointed out that these raids are causing concern among cafe owners, asserting that there is no legal justification for such interventions and that they may be linked to undisclosed motives. He called on the authorities to be transparent and deal fairly with the owners of these businesses.
