The work has begun to repair and strengthen the Oualija road connecting Gafsa and Fez in the section that falls under the Moulay Yacoub province, which includes regional roads RP5002 and RP5309.
This project is the result of the efforts of the Fez-Meknes Regional Council in partnership with the Ministry of Equipment and Water. Authorization has been given for the winning company to start the work.
This project is good news for the users of the Oualija road connecting Gafsa and Fez, who have suffered a lot from the condition of this important road section. This road plays a major role in relieving the pressure on National Road 8, and in connecting Fez to the Chefchaouen province through the Gafsa region.
This project comes to improve the driving conditions and safety on this road, which sees continuous heavy traffic throughout the year. In this way, the Regional Council has responded to the demands of citizens and contributed to improving the road infrastructure in this region.
