Police officers in the Fes Security District, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate of National Surveillance, today, Monday, April 22, 2024, arrested a person with a criminal record, aged 45, on suspicion of his involvement in a case related to premeditated murder and arson in order to conceal the evidence of this crime.
The police in the city of Fez had begun on April 19, 2024, the procedures for examining the body of the 41-year-old victim, after it was found charred in the “Marja” area in the same city, before the initial investigations revealed that the victim had been subjected to premeditated murder followed by arson with the intention of concealing the evidence of the crime scene.
Intensive field investigations led to the identification of the main suspect in the commission of this crime, and investigations are currently underway to determine its causes and circumstances, before his arrest on Monday.
The suspect has been placed in police custody at the disposal of the investigation supervised by the competent prosecutor’s office, in order to determine all the motives and reasons for committing these criminal acts.
