As part of its preparations for the upcoming regional congress scheduled for May 31, 2025, the Moroccan Green Party held a preparatory meeting on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Barceló Hotel conference hall in Fes. The meeting, which began at 4:00 PM, was attended by several prominent party members.
The session was co-chaired by Nadia El Harraq, the regional coordinator of the party in Fes-Meknes, and Zohair El Aloui. During the meeting, various committees were formed to organize the regional congress. Nadia El Harraq and Zohair El Aloui were appointed as heads of the preparatory committee, while Nourddine Moalmi and Zoubida Fadail were tasked with leading the Documentation Committee. The Logistics and Organization Committee will be chaired by Mustapha El Amri. These committees will work over the next two months to ensure the congress is organized with the highest level of coordination and professionalism.
The meeting featured multiple contributions from attendees, who shared their insights and suggestions regarding the party’s next steps at both the regional and electoral levels. Emphasis was placed on the importance of attracting new, qualified members from diverse backgrounds to strengthen the party’s political presence locally and nationally.
In an exclusive statement to Fes News, Zoubida Fadail, a member of the party’s political bureau, noted that the Green Party is entering a new phase of renewal thanks to the influx of new talents. She described these additions as “new blood” that will give the party significant momentum. Aziz Ben Azouz, also a member of the political bureau, added that the party aims to build a comprehensive political project focused on improving citizens’ quality of life in areas such as education, health, and dignified employment, with a central focus on environmental issues.
Speaking to the press, Dr. Nadia El Harraq stated that within the framework of the party’s renewed dynamic, the preparatory committees for the regional congress have been formed and will work over the coming two months to ensure the success of this important political event. She emphasized that the party is in a new phase of openness, having attracted several qualified individuals who will enhance its political and organizational efforts in the region.
El Harraq added that these committees would operate in a spirit of collaboration to achieve the party’s objectives, expressing her hope that the Fes-Meknes regional congress will mark the beginning of a new phase of political action focused on environmental advocacy and sustainable development.
The meeting was attended by political and social actors from across the Fes-Meknes region, including representatives from Taza, Taounate, Fes, Meknes, El Hajeb, and Missour. The gathering saw positive interaction from participants, with fifteen interventions addressing a variety of issues related to the party’s future and efforts to attract new members.
