Mr. Jalal Mezouaghi, the Regional Coordinator of the FALAM Federation in the Fez-Meknes region for car rental professionals, expressed his strong dissatisfaction with the Ministry of Transport’s decision to impose a new specifications booklet on professionals for the issuance of necessary documents to conduct their business, as implemented by the ministry’s representatives in Fez.
In a press statement, Mezouaghi considered this decision unacceptable, especially as it is being applied retroactively. He called on the ministry to grant professionals sufficient time to study all aspects of the new specifications booklet, both positive and negative, before its actual implementation.
Mezouaghi also suggested that the application of the new specifications booklet should be limited to newly established companies only, without obligating existing companies, to avoid disrupting the sector and creating additional problems for professionals.
The Regional Coordinator of the Federation called for an urgent meeting of the Federation’s Executive Office, to be held next Friday in Tangier, to discuss this issue and take the necessary actions required by the situation, in order to defend the interests of car rental professionals in the region.
