Residents of Taza Demand Immediate Action on Infrastructure Issues Amid Growing Frustration

In a recent complaint submitted to Fes News, residents of a rural area in Taza expressed their growing frustration over the deteriorating state of their local infrastructure, specifically the unpaved roads that have isolated them from essential services and other areas. The complaint highlights the residents’ sense of neglect and isolation, as their pleas for assistance have been ignored for far too long.

The residents emphasized that their suffering has reached a breaking point, as they are increasingly excluded from the development projects that benefit other areas. They called on the authorities, including the Governor of Taza, the relevant ministry, and the Fes-Meknes Regional Council, to take immediate action in paving the roads and improving the area’s infrastructure. The residents argue that such improvements are their fundamental right and essential for ensuring a dignified life, rather than being treated merely as electoral numbers.

In a bid to escalate their demands, the residents announced their intention to organize a protest march on foot from the municipal headquarters to the Taza provincial headquarters, followed by an open sit-in in front of the provincial government building. This protest aims to exert pressure on the responsible authorities to address their legitimate concerns. The residents also pointed to similar protests held in other parts of the region yesterday, where communities face similar issues and are calling for urgent intervention.
