The Derb El Hajar neighborhood in the Sbata area of Casablanca witnessed a horrific murder on Saturday evening, in which a young man was killed by his brother under tragic circumstances.
According to local sources, a heated dispute broke out between the brothers, escalating into a gruesome murder, with one brother stabbing the other in the neck, resulting in his immediate death.
After committing the crime, the perpetrator fled the scene, taking advantage of the Iftar time. However, security forces managed to apprehend him later inside the Sbata cemetery.
The motives behind this shocking crime remain unclear, as sources have not disclosed the reasons for the perpetrator’s actions.
The victim’s body was transferred to the morgue for autopsy, while the perpetrator was placed in custody pending investigation by the competent public prosecutor’s office, to uncover all the circumstances of this tragic crime.
