As part of the major urban development in Fez, the Fez Development Company (FRA) has launched, under the Interior Ministry’s instructions, a strategic project to construct and equip a multi-sport indoor arena in Fez, utilizing the latest Building Information Modeling (BIM) digital management technology, globally recognized in major sports facilities.
This ambitious project employs an integrated 3D digital system, enabling precise management of all implementation phases, from design to execution, with real-time monitoring of quality, cost, and time indicators. A special electronic platform will be provided for data exchange between various stakeholders (architects, contractors, consulting firms…).
Main Project Phases:
Phase One: Setting up the digital work environment and organizing work teams.
Phase Two: Comprehensive architectural and engineering design using 3D models.
Phase Three: Precise field implementation using temporal and financial monitoring techniques (4D and 5D).
This qualitative project is overseen by FRA’s General Director, Hicham Kartassi, who, despite a recent health setback, continues – according to a reliable source within the company – to monitor the finest details of this massive project, alongside other ongoing projects in the city.
The arena is expected to create a significant transformation in Fez’s sports infrastructure, particularly regarding hosting national and international championships and competitions, thanks to its modern architecture and advanced equipment meeting the highest standards.
