Akhannouch’s Party Expels Deputy Head of Casablanca District After Calls for Inspection Committees to Investigate Public Contracts and Urban Development Projects
The Regional Disciplinary and Arbitration Committee of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) in Casablanca issued a decision expelling the first deputy head of the Sidi Bernoussi district, Issam Kamari, due to his opposition to the district head, who is affiliated with the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM).
This decision followed Kamari’s statements in which he criticized the management of the district head, especially after two major incidents in the area. The first was the collapse of parts of the main street due to heavy rain, and the second was the appearance of white foam in the region.
Earlier, Kamari had called for the intervention of inspection committees to investigate public contracts and urban development projects, pointing out alleged corruption, and even urged King Mohammed VI to intervene.
For his part, Mohamed Bourahim, the party coordinator in the area, denied that the expulsion was related to Kamari’s recent positions. He clarified that the expulsion was due to Kamari’s lack of discipline in adhering to party rules and his political alliances.
