National Social Security Fund (CNSS) Launches New Digital Service for Online Submission of Medical Claims

The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) has announced the launch of a new digital service that allows insured individuals to submit their medical claims online, starting from next June. This service aims to simplify administrative procedures and eliminate the need for paper submissions or visits to CNSS agencies.

The Director-General of CNSS, Hassan Boubrik, revealed during his presentation to the Finance and Economic Development Committee in the House of Representatives that this service will include medical consultations and drug purchase expenses, and is part of a comprehensive project to digitize mandatory health insurance, which is expected to be fully implemented within three months.

Boubrik explained that the new system will allow beneficiaries to directly upload their medical files through the CNSS portal, avoiding traditional administrative procedures and repeated visits to CNSS agencies.

The Director-General noted that CNSS has adapted its digital services to different categories of beneficiaries. The “Damankom” platform for employers, which currently includes over 430,000 companies, has achieved a digital declaration and payment rate of over 98%, while the online registration rate for new employees has reached 99%. CNSS has also launched a platform for medical service providers and developed multiple electronic payment channels for social contributions, aiming to streamline procedures and enhance transparency in financial transactions.

To facilitate access to services, Boubrik highlighted that the “MaCNSS” application, which allows insured individuals to track their files and use services remotely, has activated 5.4 million accounts and currently records 274,000 daily logins, with over 10 million certificates issued electronically. The “Taâwidati” application has contributed to digitizing the compensation process, with over 560,000 files processed in 2024, achieving a digitization rate of 40% in the general system.

To enhance communication with insured individuals, CNSS has launched an intelligent automated response system that has answered over 3.3 million inquiries, reflecting the significant progress the fund is making in digitization and rapid response to beneficiaries’ needs. These steps are part of the CNSS digital strategy, which aims to improve services and streamline administrative procedures, in line with the Kingdom’s efforts to promote social and financial inclusion through modern digital solutions.
