In a tragic incident that shook the village of Idchar Flah, located within the municipality of Ikhlafah in the Taounate region, the body of a 67-year-old woman was discovered in a well last Saturday, under mysterious circumstances, the details of which remain unclear.
Local sources reported that the authorities, along with Royal Gendarmerie forces, acted swiftly upon receiving the report, heading to the scene of the incident and successfully retrieving the body with the help of some of the villagers. The incident has caused widespread shock and deep sorrow among the locals, who gathered at the site to learn more about the details of the tragedy.
The same sources indicated that the woman, who was described as a widow, had been missing for a period, prompting her family to search for her before she was found inside the well.
The relevant authorities have initiated an investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor to determine the cause of death and whether it was the result of an accidental incident or if there are suspicions of foul play behind the tragedy.
