On Tuesday, in Cairo, the proceedings of the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the summit level commenced, with the participation of Morocco. Representing King Mohammed VI at this summit is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita. The Moroccan delegation also includes Mohamed Ait Ouali, Morocco’s Ambassador to Egypt and the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League, and Abdelali Al-Jahed, Head of the Arab and Islamic Organizations Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Egypt had announced the organization of an extraordinary Arab summit dedicated to the latest developments in the Palestinian issue, following consultations with the Kingdom of Bahrain, which currently holds the presidency of the Arab League Council at the summit level, as well as with the General Secretariat of the League and Arab states.
This summit, convened at the request of the State of Palestine, aims to examine the latest developments in the Palestinian issue and explore ways to support the Palestinian people. Additionally, it seeks to unify the Arab position on this issue and develop an action plan to address current challenges.
On Monday, Arab foreign ministers held a closed preparatory meeting in anticipation of this summit.
