Morocco will participate in this tournament with a team composed of players born in 2000 or later, under the guidance of national coach Tarik Sektioui, who led the Moroccan Olympic team to win the bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Earlier, CAF announced the postponement of the African Nations Championship for local players to August instead of the previously scheduled period between February 1 and 28, 2025. CAF also revealed a 75% increase in the competition’s prizes, with the winner set to receive $3.5 million, bringing the total prize pool to $10.4 million—a 32% increase aimed at enhancing the attractiveness of this sporting event.
