In a report on performance for the years 2023 and 2024, the Moroccan financial courts revealed an astonishing recovery amounting to 139 million dirhams. This reflects the enhancement of their judicial role and effectiveness in collecting public funds. This figure represents a significant increase compared to previous years and comes in the context of the government’s efforts to improve financial management and its commitment to combating corruption.
The report, announced at a press conference at the headquarters of the financial courts, also clarified that the number of rulings issued in financial cases reached 820,000, a notable increase from only 28 rulings the previous year, indicating a rise in the efficiency of the courts and their capacity to handle cases effectively.
On another note, the data indicates that the courts were able to issue rulings in 78 cases related to public properties, as well as 54 rulings in tax collection cases and overdue payments, with expectations that this success will continue in the coming years.
According to the report, the number of cases handled in the area of public contracts and financial obligations has seen a significant rise, reflecting the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and fairness in the distribution of public resources.
