On Saturday, the Royal Gendarmerie of Taroudant arrested a man in his fifties, suspected of being involved in a case of sexual assault against five children aged between 8 and 10 years. This arrest followed a complaint lodged by the mother of one of the victims, who reported witnessing the suspect sexually assaulting her son. Preliminary investigations confirmed these allegations.
During his interrogation, the suspect confessed to his involvement in the abuse of minors, admitting to having assaulted four children, including a girl. This revelation has sparked outrage among the families of the victims.
Following the preliminary investigation, the suspect was placed in custody pending a judicial inquiry, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office.
