Rachid Talbi Alami, the President of the Moroccan House of Representatives, represented King Mohammed VI at the inauguration ceremony of Ghana’s elected President, John Dramani Mahama, held on Tuesday in Accra. The Moroccan delegation included Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita, and the King’s Ambassador to Ghana, Imane Ouadil.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several heads of state and government, parliamentary presidents, ministers, and prominent political and military figures. This event marks a significant moment in Ghana’s history as it represents John Dramani Mahama’s return to power after previously serving from 2012 to 2017.
It is noteworthy that Ghana has witnessed four political transitions since its independence, reflecting a remarkable democratic stability in the country. During the inauguration, Mahama pledged to serve the Ghanaian people and uphold the country’s constitution.
