Under the slogan “A Drop of Your Blood Can Save a Life,” a blood donation campaign will take place in the city of Taounate on Monday, December 30, 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m., at the conference hall of the Taounate Municipality. This initiative, aimed at raising health awareness and promoting social solidarity, seeks to collect as many blood donations as possible to meet the needs of hospital patients.
The campaign is a collaborative effort between local entities, organized by the Regional Blood Transfusion Center in Fez with the support of local authorities and the Provincial Health Delegation of Taounate. The Taounate Municipal Council is also a participant, showcasing the unified efforts of all stakeholders to ensure the campaign’s success.
This campaign offers a crucial opportunity to address the pressing shortage of blood supplies in Morocco. Blood donation is one of the simplest yet most impactful ways to save lives, benefitting accident victims, patients undergoing surgeries, and those with chronic illnesses.
The campaign is organized by the Firdaws Association for Supporting Cancer Patients in Taounate Province, further emphasizing the importance of community-driven efforts in providing critical healthcare support.
