Educational Administrators Union Holds First National Meeting and Reaffirms Its Demands

The Educational Administrators Union organized its first national meeting on the occasion of its second anniversary on December 14, 2024, at the Conference and Training Center of the Ministry of Equipment in Rabat. The meeting was held under the slogan “A Strong Union Organization to Preserve Gains, Achieve Demands, and Advance Public Education.”

The meeting witnessed a high turnout of activists from various regions of Morocco, reflecting the commitment and organizational discipline of union members. During the meeting, the chronology of the union’s establishment and its milestones were reviewed, in addition to discussing the expectations and aspirations of educational administrators regarding their legitimate demands.

Key Positions and Decisions of the Meeting:

  1. Rejection of any law restricting the constitutional right to strike.
  2. Opposition to proposed pension fund reforms that include raising the retirement age, increasing employee contributions, and reducing pensions.
  3. Emphasis on the need for a special statute for educational administrators that takes into account their professional specificity.
  4. Demand for an increase in the value of the supplementary compensation for the position and the approval of additional allowances.
  5. Call for opening mobility between educational cycles and organizing competitive exams for the educational administration cycle to address shortages.
  6. Emphasis on the need to improve working conditions and strengthen human resources in educational institutions.

In conclusion, the meeting called on all educational administrators to mobilize, remain vigilant, and unite around their union framework to face current and future challenges. The union affirmed its commitment to continuing the defense of the legitimate and fair rights and demands of educational administrators.
