Local authorities in the Agdal district, supported by National Security forces, conducted a raid on a small grocery store catering to professionals. The operation followed multiple complaints about expired products being sold to customers, posing a serious risk to public health.
During the raid, large quantities of expired goods were seized, including food items and other daily essentials. According to informed sources, several suspects, including the store’s management, were detained as part of the operation.
An investigation has been launched by the relevant security services under the supervision of the Public Prosecution to determine the source of the expired goods and how they entered the local market. Legal measures have been taken to confiscate and destroy the products to ensure they do not reach consumers.
