Coinciding with Morocco’s celebrations of the Green March and Independence Day, El Hajeb Province hosted a multidisciplinary medical caravan on Sunday, November 24, 2024. The initiative, led by the Provincial Delegation of Health and Social Protection under the supervision of the Fes-Meknes Regional Directorate of Health, was organized in partnership with the Association of Mercy and Citizenship Institutions in Meknes as part of its first-anniversary celebrations.
The event also benefited from close collaboration with local authorities and the Ait Yaazem municipality, making it a highly impactful and widely appreciated endeavor.
The caravan aimed to bring essential medical services closer to local residents, particularly in remote areas. It was conducted at a branch school of the Dar El Caid Ali group and the Ait Marghad rural health center. Health professionals from Meknes and El Hajeb, representing various specialties, participated actively, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the community’s healthcare needs.
The caravan provided a range of medical services, including general and specialized consultations in pediatrics, cardiology, respiratory diseases, gynecology, obstetrics, neurology, and brain surgery. Additional services included medical analyses and neuro-psychological therapy. A total of 737 people benefited from these services, with patients receiving necessary treatments and free medication.
Organizers praised the collective efforts that defined this initiative, highlighting the contributions of healthcare workers, local authorities, and municipal councils. Their collaboration ensured the success of this significant medical and social event, meeting its objectives and providing much-needed support to the community.
