The General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DST) in Fes has successfully dismantled a dangerous criminal network involved in distributing tainted “khlii” (a traditional preserved meat) targeting residents of the city and other areas. According to a confidential source for Fes News, this network includes prominent names known for marketing this product nationally.
Targeted security operations took place in the districts of Jnane El Ward and Old Fes, where large quantities of spoiled “khlii” were seized. These contaminated batches were being transported via shared trucks after being confirmed as unsafe.
Investigations revealed that these products were being distributed in the local market, particularly to restaurants, fast-food vendors, and dairy shops, posing a direct health risk to consumers.
Under the guidance of the public prosecutor, the regional criminal police in Fes, in collaboration with other security agencies, has taken charge of the investigation to identify and prosecute all those involved in this criminal activity.
This operation is part of ongoing efforts to protect public health and ensure the safety of food products circulating in the markets.
