Parliamentarian from Moroccan Sahara Joins US Election Observation Committee

In a move reflecting international confidence in Moroccan expertise, the United States has accredited Moroccan parliamentarian Lalla Elhajja Eljoumani, elected representative from the Laayoune province, as part of the team observing the US presidential elections.

The Moroccan parliamentarian, who hails from the kingdom’s southern provinces, will undertake the mission of monitoring the electoral process in North Carolina on November 5th, where she will participate in overseeing the voting process and ensuring its integrity.

This selection confirms the distinguished position that Moroccan expertise holds on the international stage, particularly in the field of election observation and strengthening democratic practices.

It is worth noting that this participation falls within the framework of ongoing cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America across various fields, reflecting the mutual trust between the two countries.
