Official Reception Ceremonies: French President Macron’s State Visit to Morocco Opens New Horizons for Bilateral Relations

French President Emmanuel Macron, accompanied by First Lady Brigitte Macron, arrived today at Rabat-Salé Airport on a state visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, following a gracious invitation from His Majesty King Mohammed VI. King Mohammed VI was at the forefront of those welcoming the French President, surrounded by members of the royal family, reflecting the depth of historical ties and established strategic partnership between the two countries.

The ceremonies began with a 21-gun salute in honor of President Macron, followed by Royal Guard presentations accompanied by the national anthems of both countries. This visit comes within the framework of strengthening the multidimensional relations between Morocco and France, which enjoy a long history of close cooperation. The visit is expected to result in the signing of several important agreements focusing on sustainable development, economic and cultural cooperation.

This visit serves as a step to enhance bilateral relations, as the French President and King Mohammed VI will meet to discuss various issues of mutual interest, primarily focusing on promoting sustainable development, addressing global challenges, and cooperation on regional issues, including the Moroccan Sahara issue.
