Ifrane, October 5, 2024 – The delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Ifrane has launched a program of mini medical campaigns to benefit the rural populations in the territorial communities of Ifrane Province. This program comes within the framework of the National Rural Health Plan and in implementation of the regional plan for mobile medical units.
The program, which continues for two months, aims to bring health services closer to local residents and improve access to healthcare in rural areas. Its main objectives include:
- Promoting reproductive health through pregnancy monitoring and encouraging childbirth in health facilities.
- Early detection of breast and cervical cancer.
- Monitoring chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
- Screening for infectious diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis C.
- Vision screening and correction for school students.
- Organizing awareness activities on disease prevention and promoting healthy lifestyles.
To ensure the success of these campaigns, the delegation has mobilized a comprehensive medical team supported by advanced medical and technical equipment, including three mobile medical units, an ambulance, and two trucks equipped with ultrasound and ECG devices, in addition to a mobile laboratory for medical analyses.
The first of these campaigns was launched on Thursday, October 3, 2024, in the rural community of Timahdit, where more than 500 people benefited from various medical services provided.
This initiative has been greatly appreciated by the local population, confirming its importance in improving access to healthcare in rural areas and enhancing the health of the community as a whole.
