PAM’s Commitment to Ethical Governance: First Party in Morocco to Establish a Code of Ethics, Says Najwa Kkous

In a decisive statement during a press conference held by the leadership of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, Ms. Najwa Kkous, President of the party’s National Council, affirmed that PAM was the first political party in Morocco to establish a code of ethics.

Ms. Kkous clarified that this code is not merely a slogan or a political maneuver but a binding document with ethical implications that reflect the party’s commitment to instilling morality in political life.

She added that the party has responsibly engaged with the messages and royal speeches, which call for moralizing political and party activities. According to her, PAM decided to adopt this code out of a desire to promote values of integrity and transparency and to meet the aspirations of its members.

Ms. Kkous emphasized that this step embodies the party’s dedication to reforming public life and reinforcing the democratic choice within the framework of the party’s distinct vision of politics, which diverges from traditional practices.

She also noted that this initiative is not surprising coming from PAM, a party that has pledged since its foundation to practice noble politics that serve citizens and address their concerns. This approach, she said, strengthens the party’s vision of a modern political system based on principles and values that serve the nation and its people.
