Specialized Engineering Team Oversees Reconstruction of Al Haouz Province After Earthquake

A specialized cell of engineers and experts is working around the clock to supervise the reconstruction process in Al Haouz Province, which was affected by the recent earthquake. This cell is keen on ensuring strict adherence to engineering standards, with a particular focus on applying earthquake resistance standards in all stages of construction.

As part of its efforts to support those affected, the committee receives citizens daily to hear their complaints and suggestions regarding modifications to their home designs. The committee is also responsible for monitoring the process of disbursing financial support allocated to those affected, which is done in stages according to the progress of construction work.

In a step to ensure the provision of safe and stable housing for affected families, an area of 70 square meters has been allocated for each house being rebuilt. The new design includes a ground floor and an upper floor, providing adequate space and ensuring stability for affected families.

These intensive efforts come as part of a comprehensive plan to reconstruct the areas affected by the earthquake, with a focus on ensuring the safety of buildings and their ability to withstand future earthquakes. This process reflects the authorities’ commitment to rebuilding affected communities in a better and safer manner.

The work of this specialized cell demonstrates a proactive approach to disaster recovery, combining immediate relief with long-term planning for resilience. By involving affected residents in the reconstruction process and adhering to stringent safety standards, the initiative aims not only to rebuild homes but also to restore community confidence and preparedness for future challenges.
