Mr. Abdelghani Sabbar, Governor of Meknes Prefecture, presided on Monday, August 19, 2024, over the inauguration ceremony of a number of newly appointed authority figures in the region, and bid farewell to those transferring to other provinces and prefectures. This came as part of the national transfer movement conducted by the Ministry of Interior to enhance the efficiency of territorial administration.
The new appointments included:
- Mr. Mohammed Amri: Head of Boumia Circle in Midelt Province, appointed as head of Hamriya district.
- Mr. Sidi Bachir Daoudi: Head of the administrative annex in Marrakech Prefecture, promoted to head of urban district in Meknes Prefecture and appointed as head of the Ismailia urban district.
- Mr. Khalid Baawi: Head of Hamriya urban district, appointed as head of Zaitoun urban district.
- Mr. Khalid Allam: Head of Zaitoun urban district, appointed as head in charge of coordination with Meknes commune.
- Mr. Abdullah Brim: Head of the Internal Affairs Department in Meknes Prefecture, promoted to head of circle in charge of the union cell.
- Mr. Abdelhak Wahib: Caid of Todgha in Tinghir Province, appointed as head caid of the ninth administrative annex.
- Mr. Salah Eddine Emad: Caid of the administrative annex in Chefchaouen Province, appointed as caid of Ait Ouallal command in Meknes Prefecture.
The internal transfer movement within Meknes Prefecture also included the following appointments:
- Mr. Mbarek El Hassnaoui: Caid of the eleventh administrative annex in Hamriya urban district, appointed as caid of the nineteenth administrative annex in Ismailia urban district.
- Mr. Tarik Mesterih: Head caid of the seventh administrative annex, appointed as caid of the second administrative annex in Ismailia urban district.
- Mr. Noureddine Khattab: Deputy caid in the administrative annex of Ismailia urban district, appointed as caid of the eighth administrative annex in Marjan urban district.
- Mr. Youssef Benramdan: Head of the ninth administrative annex in Hamriya urban district, appointed as caid of the nineteenth administrative annex in Ismailia urban district.
- Mr. Jawad Yahya: Deputy caid of Yasmine administrative annex in Boussalem, promoted to the rank of caid in the same annex.
- Mr. Rachid Bahr: Deputy caid in Sidi Slimane Moul Al Kifan annex, promoted to the position of caid and appointed to the seventh administrative annex in Zaitoun urban district.
- Mr. Mohammed Bakkal: Graduate of the 59th batch of the regular corps of authority figures at the Royal Institute of Territorial Administration, appointed as deputy caid head of the Internal Affairs Department of the prefecture.
- Abdullah Dahmi: Caid of the nineteenth administrative annex in Ismailia urban district, appointed as caid of the eleventh administrative annex (Yasmine) in Hamriya urban district.
In his speech on this occasion, the Governor of Meknes called on the new authority figures to work diligently and devotedly in performing their duties, emphasizing the importance of listening to citizens and responding quickly to their aspirations.
The Governor also pointed out the importance of facing water stress challenges through rationalizing water use, explaining that preserving this vital resource is a shared national responsibility.
He emphasized the need to keep pace with the major projects the city is witnessing and the ongoing economic and social reforms to provide promising future prospects and improve the standard of living for the inhabitants of Meknes.
At the conclusion of this inauguration, prayers were raised for His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and support him.
These changes come as part of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to improve the performance of local administration and enhance competencies in various administrative positions at the level of prefectures and provinces in the Kingdom, with a focus on sustainable development and raising the level of services provided to citizens.
