As part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Glorious Throne Day, the General Directorate of National Security inaugurated on Tuesday a number of new security structures, with the inauguration of the “Fakhara” police station in Marrakech and two traffic accident stations in Sidi Yahya Gharb and Machraa Belkasseri.
The creation of these security structures aims to reinforce the strategy of the General Directorate of National Security, which seeks to bring police services closer to citizens and increase security coverage in major population centers, in line with the demographic growth and geographical expansion witnessed by various Moroccan metropolitan areas.
The new headquarters of the “Fakhara” police station was inaugurated in a neighborhood of the same name within the Sidi Youssef Ben Ali security zone in Marrakech, reflecting the Directorate’s commitment to expanding security coverage and enhancing the sense of security for citizens, in addition to being equipped with the latest equipment and having an office attached to the department specialized in issuing national identity cards.
Two traffic accident stations have also been opened in Mouchraa Belkessiri and Sidi Yahia Gharb, which will conduct traffic accident inspections and provide a range of police and administrative services related to road safety, an approach that facilitates citizens’ access to police services and enhances their safety on the roads.
In recent years, the General Directorate of National Security has developed police facilities and modernized security facilities, with the aim of creating integrated workspaces that contribute to improving working conditions for employees and providing a suitable environment for customers.
