The administrative court in Fez on Thursday upheld the dismissal of Hamid Shoebat and his wife, Fatima Tarek, from the Fez Community Council, after rejecting their appeal against the dismissal decision.
According to the preliminary data available, the Fès Community Council had taken the decision in May, based on the provisions of Article 67 of Organizational Law No. 113.14 on Territorial Communities, which allows for the dismissal of members who are continuously absent from attending sessions.
The dismissal decision also included other councillors due to their continuous absence, including a councillor from the Progress and Socialist Party, and a councillor who is the first deputy head of the Sais district of the National Rally of Independents Party, who is abroad, after her name was mentioned in the judicial police reports related to the financial and administrative corruption network in the Fes group, along with parliamentarian Abdelkader El-Boussiri, in addition to Abdelkader El-Boussiri.
