The recently inaugurated proximity playgrounds in the neighborhoods of Taza city have witnessed a new controversy two weeks after their inauguration.
In a related context, the head of the Taza community, Abdelwahed Messaoudi, announced on his Facebook page that these playgrounds would be free of charge and under the supervision of the city’s collective council.
Following this, Taza residents, especially youth and civil society associations, demanded to benefit from these playgrounds, especially with the increasing demand for the use of these facilities, the Taza community issued an announcement today, Wednesday, July 31, 2024, through the Administrative, Legal Affairs and Social Work Department – Sports Activation Division.
According to the announcement, it was decided to suspend all sports activities in the proximity stadiums throughout the month of August.
This decision comes within the framework of preserving the grass during the period of high temperatures, based on the recommendations of the company in charge of the construction of the stadiums, which sent an official correspondence to the community’s interests on the subject.
The associations, teams and organizations benefiting from the stadium quotas will have to wait until the end of August to resume sports activities, in a move aimed at preserving the quality of sports facilities and ensuring their sustainability.
