Local authorities, civil protection teams, the Royal Gendarmerie, the Auxiliary Forces, the Royal Armed Forces, the Regional Directorate of Equipment and the Regional Directorate of Water and Forests, in cooperation with the Regional Council of Ifrane, the elected councils and the local population, managed to control a fire that broke out in the Kadiat area in Ifrane.
According to local sources, thanks to immediate intervention and effective coordination between the concerned authorities, and within the framework of the regional plan to fight fires, the fire was brought under control despite the challenges of very high temperatures and eastern winds, and the affected area is estimated at about 15 hectares of easily flammable vegetation.
The operation witnessed great sacrifices by the rescue teams to extinguish the fire and prevent its spread, which resulted in the reassurance of the local population and the protection of the natural heritage of the region.
