The Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Equipment and Water in Ifrane announced the start of the reconstruction of the regional road 7202 between National Road No. 13 and the Ain Ifrane crossroads, with the aim of improving infrastructure and enhancing transportation and mobility in the region.
The project, with a total budget of 22.7 million dirhams funded by the Ministry of Equipment and Water, is the result of a partnership between the Ministry and the Fès Meknes Regional Council.
The project aims to improve the condition of the road, revitalize economic, social and tourism activity in the region, and enhance road safety.
Regional Road 7202 is of great importance as it is one of the main arteries connecting National Road 13 to National Road 8 through the Ben Simeem community.
According to the preliminary data available, the reconstruction project will contribute significantly to improving connectivity between Bensamim and neighboring areas, breaking the isolation of the region, and enhancing the flow of tourist traffic.
Abdelilah Azmi, regional director of the Ministry of Equipment and Water in Ifrane, emphasized the great importance of this project, noting that the region is characterized by its scenic landscapes, historical monuments and tourist shelters.
He explained that improving the road infrastructure will be a strong incentive to revitalize tourism in the region, which will have positive repercussions on the economic and social development of the local population.
Azmi highlighted the Ministry of Equipment and Water’s keenness to develop road infrastructure, noting that significant investments have been allocated to improve the national, regional and provincial road network.
