The Casablanca Judicial Police Department opened a judicial investigation, under the supervision of the Public Prosecution, on Thursday, to investigate the circumstances and circumstances of the escape of a prisoner from a hospital institution, and to identify all the parties involved in facilitating the escape.
According to a statement by the General Directorate of National Security, a prisoner convicted of theft managed to escape from the health institution where he was undergoing medical care, using the complicity of some suspected individuals, before presenting himself shortly after committing the crime.
Ongoing investigations are focused on determining the extent to which the prisoner and his wife were involved in the suspected bribery of guards for neglecting their job duties.
Suspects in the investigation include a guard, a police officer, and a member of the Rapid Intervention Corps, who are suspected of facilitating the prisoner’s escape.
The prisoner, his wife and the rest of the suspects have been placed under the necessary precautionary measures, as directed by the Public Prosecution, with the aim of uncovering all details related to the case and determining the exact responsibilities to take the necessary legal measures.
