Fez, 30 May 2024: According to initial evaluations and positive feedback from teachers and parents, the Riyada School model has been a tremendous success in ensuring that students are able to learn and address the accumulation of academic deficiencies. Due to this success, Fès Academy announces the expansion of this model to more than 35 per cent of the region’s educational institutions during the next academic year.
Repairing and equipping 309 educational institutions and training 1848 teachers
In order to ensure the success of the large-scale implementation of the Riyada School model, the Academy has launched a package of measures, including the rehabilitation and equipping of 309 educational institutions and the provision of modern educational equipment. In addition, more than 1,848 teachers have been trained in TaRL and explicit teaching methodologies.
First training course on TaRL and explicit teaching
As part of its efforts to develop the skills of teachers, the Academy organised the first TaRL and Explicit Teaching course, which benefited teachers in institutions involved in the ‘School of Leadership’ project. Nineteen centres were allocated to host this course, which was facilitated by 54 inspectors. The Academy was keen to provide all the appropriate conditions for the success of this course, including the provision of the necessary spaces and equipment, in cooperation with its various partners from universities and educational institutions.
Follow-up and evaluation committees
In order to accurately track the implementation of these trainings, the Academy and the regional directorates formed continental committees tasked with monitoring the progress of the process and providing all the necessary needs for the trainers and beneficiaries. The Academy also praised the commitment of all stakeholders to the implementation of the 2022-2026 roadmap, which aims to radically transform the public education system.
The Pioneer School: A pioneering model for quality education
The Al Riyada School model is an innovative initiative that aims to raise the quality of education and provide equal opportunities for all. By focusing on enhancing students’ skills and addressing learning difficulties, this model contributes to building an educated and empowered generation that can actively participate in societal development.
Scaling up: A step towards better education
The expansion of the Riyada School model exemplifies Fès Academy’s commitment to providing quality education to all students in the region. This is an important step towards achieving the objectives of the Roadmap 2022-2026 and establishing the public school as a leading institution in building a bright future for future generations.
