The national women’s under-17 football team will face its Algerian counterpart on May 10 and 17, for the third and penultimate round of the African qualifiers for the 2024 World Cup in the category.
The first leg will be played on May 10 at the Berkane Municipal Stadium from 8:00 p.m., indicates the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) in a press release.
As for the return match, it is scheduled for the 17th of the same month at the Salem Mabrouki Stadium in Algiers (5:30 p.m.), adds the same source.
In the previous round of these qualifiers, the U17 women’s national team got the better of their counterpart from Niger, winning (11-0) on the outward and return legs.
The U17-2024 Women’s World Cup will take place in the Dominican Republic from October 16 to November 3. The qualified selections from the Africa Zone will be known at the end of the fourth and final round next June.
