The General Directorate of Meteorology announced its expectations of heavy and sometimes thundery rainfall in several regions of the kingdom today, Saturday. Rainfall amounts are expected to range between 25 and 40 millimeters, accompanied by strong gusts of wind reaching speeds of 70-85 kilometers per hour and localized dust storms.
The Directorate, in an “orange” level warning bulletin, pointed out that these weather conditions will affect several provinces and regions including Boulemane, Fez, Sefrou, Moulay Yaâcoub, Jerada, Taounate, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Taza, Taourirt, and Meknes, from midnight until 3:00 PM.
The same warning bulletin also anticipated strong wind gusts ranging between 70 and 85 kilometers per hour, along with localized dust storms, in the provinces and regions of Errachidia, Figuig, and the highlands belonging to the provinces of Guelmim, Tata, Sidi Ifni, and Tiznit, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
