During the Third National Car Rental Conference held in Fes on December 25, 2024, Yusuf Al-Hadi, the National Secretary of Car Rental Operators, made significant remarks following the conclusion of the event. He expressed pride in the trust shown by industry professionals, who re-elected him for a second term. He emphasized that the conference served as a valuable opportunity to discuss the vital issues facing the sector.
In his address, Yusuf Al-Hadi stated, “This conference was an opportunity to pinpoint the challenges facing the sector, and we stressed the importance of finding solutions to the problems that are directly affecting professionals. Among the key issues we discussed were car seizures, the issue of guarantees, and the tax authorities’ approach, which needs to be revised to better align with the nature of our work.”
Additionally, Habib Hamidi, the local union representative for car rental operators in Taourirt, underscored the vital role of trade unions in defending the rights of professionals. He highlighted the union as the main force advocating for the sector’s issues. He also addressed the current critical phase and the importance of adopting a new set of specifications that would help improve the professional situation. “Thank God, we have achieved some gains thanks to the combined efforts of all stakeholders, and I would particularly like to mention my colleague, Mohamed El-Gheiti, who did great work explaining the new specifications to the professionals,” Hamidi noted.
In conclusion, Habib Hamidi expressed optimism about the future of the sector, stating, “God willing, we will continue to move forward, and we are ready to face the challenges ahead. Today, we are electing a new national office to continue the work and achieve the goals we aim for, because this sector faces many problems, but we are determined to work hard to solve them.”
