In a somber atmosphere of grief and respect, the General Directorate of National Security bid farewell to the heroic policeman Abdelghani Redouane, who was martyred on December 17, 2024, while performing his national duty during an operation to arrest a suspect involved in drug trafficking. He lost his life during the mission after facing violent resistance from the assailant, who attacked him with a bladed weapon.
In honor of the fallen officer, the Director General of National Security granted him an exceptional promotion as a tribute to his dedication and professionalism. Full support was also provided to his family, including covering all funeral expenses. The funeral was held with official ceremonies attended by senior officials.
The body, draped in the national flag, was carried by members of the mobile intervention unit amid a large presence of security officials, including the Regional Director of Security for Beni Mellal, as well as representatives from various local authorities. The funeral was attended by the family, relatives, and friends of the deceased, who shared in this emotional farewell.
