A recent global report has revealed that the Kingdom of Morocco is among the safest destinations for travelers worldwide in 2025. The “Risk Map 2025,” recently published by Safeture, a company specializing in travel risk management, in collaboration with Riskline for global risk analysis, shows that Morocco enjoys a low level of risk for visitors.
According to the report, Morocco is one of only three African countries – along with Namibia and Botswana – that have a “low” risk level for travelers. The report classified countries into five risk levels: “negligible,” “low,” “medium,” “high,” and “critical.”
This classification places Morocco in the same category as countries such as the United States, France, Saudi Arabia, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Argentina. Morocco is also considered the only safe country in North Africa, while Mauritania, Libya, and a large part of Algeria were classified within critical risk levels, and Egypt was placed in the medium risk category.
It’s worth noting that determining the risk level for each country depends on various factors such as security, crime, health and environmental risks, and medical care. Among the safest countries in the world with a “negligible” risk level are Canada, Iceland, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Finland, Singapore, and Japan.
This positive classification for Morocco comes at a time when many countries around the world are experiencing a deterioration in their security situation, with the report indicating a decline in security conditions in 77 countries worldwide. The importance of this report lies in helping travelers and companies make informed decisions about travel plans, especially as 2025 approaches.
With this classification, Morocco confirms its position as a safe and attractive tourist destination, which may contribute to enhancing the country’s tourism sector and attracting more visitors and foreign investments in the coming years.
