In a gesture reflecting the deep cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the People’s Republic of China, the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in Taza organized a ceremony on November 26, 2024, marking the completion of the Chinese medical mission’s duties in the city and welcoming a new delegation of Chinese doctors.
The event was attended by local officials and health sector representatives, including the Regional Health Director, who delivered a speech praising the long-standing and successful partnership between Morocco and China in the healthcare sector. He emphasized that this collaboration is a living example of a fruitful partnership marked by professionalism and dedication to serving the public.
The Health Director praised the significant efforts made by the Chinese medical mission during their tenure, highlighting the medical services they provided in various specialties, which were widely appreciated by both patients and their Moroccan colleagues.
It was also noted that the healthcare cooperation between the two countries, which has lasted for more than four decades, has played a major role in improving healthcare standards in Morocco, making the sector more developed and efficient.
The Director of Ibn Bajjah Regional Hospital in Taza also expressed his gratitude to the Chinese medical mission for their dedication and fruitful cooperation with Moroccan doctors. The Chinese mission, in turn, expressed their appreciation for the strong spirit of collaboration between Chinese and Moroccan doctors, affirming the success of this unique medical experience that has strengthened the relationship between the two countries in this vital field.
At the end of the ceremony, members of the Chinese medical mission were presented with symbolic gifts as a token of gratitude and appreciation for their efforts in providing medical and humanitarian services to the local population.
