Moroccan security authorities announced last night the arrest of an Algerian national holding French citizenship named Kamel Djebbar, who was wanted through an Interpol red notice and an international arrest warrant issued by French authorities.
Security sources indicated that the individual is allegedly involved in a money laundering network, and his arrest was carried out in the city of Marrakech.
It is worth noting that Djebbar had previously caused media controversy in March, when he was first intercepted after violently assaulting a Moroccan citizen inside a tourist resort in the city of Tangier.
He is expected to be handed over to the French authorities to complete ongoing investigations related to the money laundering case.
