A Municipal Employee in Imouzzer Kandar Suspended on Bribery Suspicion (video)

Mustafa Lakhsas, President of the Municipal Council of Imouzzer Kandar, announced in a video posted on his personal Facebook account on Tuesday, November 5, that a municipal employee has been suspended on suspicion of bribery. Lakhsas urged residents not to tolerate such practices and encouraged them to report anyone who demands a bribe in exchange for administrative services guaranteed by law and the constitution.

Lakhsas emphasized that combating corruption requires collective efforts and stressed that reporting these offenses strengthens administrative integrity and protects citizens’ rights.

It is worth noting that Morocco had previously launched a campaign aimed at promoting integrity within public administration. Complaints from citizens are taken very seriously, whether submitted directly through the website of the Public Prosecution Office or filed with the relevant security authorities. These efforts have led to the prosecution and accountability of those proven to be involved in bribery cases.
