Over the past 24 hours, Morocco has experienced notable rainfall in several areas, signaling the onset of the rainy season and raising hopes for improved climatic and agricultural conditions in the country.
According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, the city of Ksar al-Kebir topped the list of rainfall measurements with 23 mm, followed by Tetouan with 18 mm, highlighting the impact of weather fronts on these northern regions. Kenitra also recorded good rainfall at 16 mm, while Tangier saw 15 mm.
In the heart of the country, Casablanca recorded 12 mm, underscoring the importance of these rains in enhancing water resources. Larache received 8 mm, while both Rabat and Salé recorded 7 mm. The cities of Chefchaouen and Benslimane saw 6 mm each.
In other regions, Tétouan and Sidi Slimane registered 5 mm, while Meknes saw 4 mm, and Ifrane and Fez recorded 3 mm. Finally, Naciri, Mohammedia, Hajeb, and Al Hoceima each received 2 mm.
This rainfall comes at a critical time for agriculture, as farmers hope it will contribute to improving crops and increasing productivity, benefiting the national economy and enhancing food security in the country.
