The third edition of the “Taghazout Surf Expo” commenced yesterday, October 24, 2024, in the Anza Point area of Taghazout, with the attendance of a high-level official delegation led by the Governor of Souss-Massa, Mr. Said Amzazi, along with the President of the region, Mr. Karim Ashnaki, and several prominent figures from the tourism and sports sectors.
This exhibition is the first of its kind in Africa and the second globally for surfing, attracting around 80 exhibitors representing 20 countries from around the world this year.
Taghazout, renowned as one of the most famous surfing destinations globally, hosts professionals in the sport, alongside companies specializing in the manufacturing and marketing of surfing equipment and clothing, as well as travel agencies and surf schools.
The primary goal of the exhibition is to enhance cooperation among professionals and exchange experiences to create new job opportunities and advance the structuring of this promising sector in Morocco.
This edition features a diverse program that includes training sessions, scientific workshops, open meetings with specialists, and artistic evenings that add a festive atmosphere to the region.
The event will run until Sunday, October 27, offering an ideal opportunity for marine sports enthusiasts and sports tourism stakeholders to explore the latest developments in the field and discuss the future of surfing in Morocco.
