Former Moroccan international player Abdelaziz Barrada passed away on Thursday in France at the age of 35, as announced by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
In an official statement, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation extended its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the deceased’s family, relatives, and all members of the national football community in this great loss.
Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi mourned his former national team colleague through his Instagram account, where he posted a photo of them together with the caption: “Sad news today. My sincere condolences to all his family. Thank you for everything.”
The late Barrada played 28 international matches with the Moroccan national team, scoring 4 goals. His professional career was marked by multiple experiences in European and Arab leagues, playing for clubs such as Getafe CF (Spain), Olympique Marseille (France), Antalyaspor (Turkey), as well as Al-Jazira Club and Al Nasr Dubai (UAE).
Barrada was one of the prominent Moroccan talents who shone in European stadiums, leaving a distinctive mark in the various clubs he played for, before moving to play in Arab leagues in the final years of his career.
