The Iklil Cultural Center in Fez witnessed on Saturday, October 5, 2024, the signing ceremony of a peer-reviewed collective book titled “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Education and Training: What Prospects?”, featuring contributions from distinguished education scholars.
As the inaugural activity of the center’s new cultural season, participants in the accompanying symposium emphasized the importance of integrating advanced technology into Morocco’s educational system to keep pace with global developments in education and training.
Dr. Ihsane El Meskini, the book’s coordinator and compiler, explained that this publication builds upon the previous efforts of the National Union of Moroccan Doctors (NUMD), noting that the rapid release of this second volume demonstrates the scholars’ commitment to developing the education and training system.
Dr. Tariq El Qotibi, who chaired the session, praised the union members’ contribution to addressing a contemporary topic that serves the educational sector. He emphasized the importance of seamlessly integrating AI applications as a solution to challenges facing the educational system.
The book was prepared by a multidisciplinary scientific committee, with Dr. Abderrahmane Nouaiti and Dr. Slimane Zine El Abidine providing insights into the book’s development stages, while Dr. Mohammed Derouiche authored its introduction.

This publication marks the second of its kind by the National Union of Moroccan Doctors and is part of a series of initiatives aimed at developing and modernizing Morocco’s educational system.
Note on Context: The National Union of Moroccan Doctors (NUMD) in this context refers to holders of doctoral degrees in education and related fields who work within Morocco’s educational system. The term “Doctor” here denotes academic qualification rather than medical practice.
